About Zulay

I am an Art and Design Graduate with a wide range of interests including photography, new media, graphic design and architecture. My work is an expression of my mood, interests and the environment I happen to be in at the time. In the past, I have explored all kinds of artistic methods but with an emphasis on painting, life drawing and photography. I have also moved onto digital art in a big way. This has given my work a completely new dimension of possibilities. Although the process is somewhat distant from the physical expression that working with a brush permits, it allows me to be more experimental with text for example, which would be impractical to achieve with paint alone. I find the process - of moving away from the original subject matter and watching its transformation into a digital reproduction of itself - a kind journey of discovery, as I never know how is going to end up. The whole process is ultimately very rewarding.
